Defintion of Sommelier

A sommelier is a  specialist, knowledgeable wine professional, typically having employment in the best restaurants. A sommelier not only specializes in all aspects of wine service, but also the skills of wine and foof matching.
A sommelier is more skilled, specialised, knowledgeable and informed than a wine waiter and this is one of the reasons why sommelier certification is so important
